I love this post. THANK YOU! This is something I struggle with so often as a communications chick. It's so hard for people to get outside of their heads and see how other people see a brand or a piece of creative. On the other hand, too many brilliant ideas get killed because an exec doesn't feel it reaches them, even if they are not the target. Keep up the high-fives, you deserve every one.

Hi Kelly,

Thanks for commenting! It will be interesting to see how impassioned fans of projects will become, I know they are trying to build momentum and hopefully projects will get that much support. But you're very right about your concerns. It will be a great gauge for charities to see how much they can 'ask' for action. Your project sounds amazing, best of luck, we'll be sure to cast our vote.

My only concern is with the way they have set up the project to encourage groups to get people to vote EVERY DAY. These non-profits & do goodies rely on their followers/networks for support- the last thing they want to do is get folks on their nerves.

On that note- please vote every day for our project! ;-) www.refresheverything.com/elasticpark It's a community building art event featuring giant dinosaurs made entirely out of balloons! Artist from across the country work together with hundreds of community volunteers to put the project together, it's pure joy!
